Don’t worry, there’s more than five.

EXCITED ABOUT THE Olympics? Well, RTE have 2,300 hours worth of coverage triple-jumping your way.

On the box they will offer in the region of 12 hours each day with much more on offer via the RTE Player and on radio.

The plan is based around a daily schedule beginning at 9.30am each day with Peter Collins, Michael Lyster, Tracey Piggot and Darragh Maloney taking you right through to 7pm when (Mr. Prime Time himself) Bill O’Herlihy will steer the ship home.

We can’t bloody wait. Here are some of the faces you can expect to see analysing sport on your screens over those magical 17 days.

  • I will be watching on eurosport and other channels anyway, Rte only talk Shite while they could be showing something on the track or field, for example. Ever see more that the final javelin throw on Rte? At least BBC will have red button options on what you really want to see, not what Rte think you might want to see .
