Ollie Baker appointed the new Kilmacud Crokes senior hurling manager

Baker has been in charge of Offaly for the last two years.

FORMER CLARE ALL-IRELAND winner Ollie Baker is to become the new senior hurling manager of Dublin club Kilmacud Crokes

The club have confirmed on their website that Baker, who has been manager of Offaly in recent year, will take up the managerial reins for the 2014 season.

Kilmacud Crokes were Dublin senior hurling champions last year but lost out to eventual winners Ballyboden St-Enda’s at the quarter-final stage this year.

Kilmacud Crokes hurling club chairman Peter Walsh expressed his delight with the appointment.

“We believe that this sets out the enthusiasm, ambition and vision of the club and the commitment for us as a club and as a team to work as hard as possible to regain the Dublin SHC and to bring whatever success is achievable by our fine young panel in the years ahead.

“We look forward to working with Ollie and bringing our own Clare revolution to Kilmacud Crokes Hurling.”
