Here's tonight's fixtures in the O'Byrne Cup and Dr McKenna Cup

There’s pre-season Gaelic Football action in Leinster and Ulster tonight.

IT’S A WEDNESDAY in early January but the 2014 GAA season is cranking into gear and there’s nine games on the inter-county agenda this evening.

The O’Byrne Cup takes centre stage with Round 2 of the competition seeing eight games in Leinster tonight across the four groups.

The last round takes place next Sunday with the four group winners advancing to the semi-final stage on January 19th.

In Group A, Wexford and Offaly are currently the front-runners after winning their opening games. In Group B, Longford and Kildare face off tonight after triumphing in their encounters last weekend.

In Group C, Meath and Wicklow will both be chasing a second successive victory in their clashes. While finally in Group D it is Dublin and DCU, the only third-level outfit to win in Leinster last weekend, who are currently unbeaten.

There is also one other game on tonight in Ulster with the Dr McKenna Cup clash of Fermanagh and St Mary’s. The game was postponed last Sunday due to a waterlogged pitch at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.
