Leaving so soon? Liverpool confirm Sahin departure

Turkish midfielder Nuri Sahin will join Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

NURI SAHIN HAS cut short his Liverpool loan less than five months after moving to Merseyside from Real Madrid.

The Turkish midfielder will join Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season, Liverpool confirmed this afternoon, returning to the club with whom he won the German title in 2011.

Sahin, 24, made just 12 appearances for the Reds scoring three goals, including a brace in the Capital One Cup against West Brom.

“Liverpool Football Club have confirmed an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid allowing midfielder Nuri Sahin’s loan deal to end,” the club said in a short statement.

It added: “Everybody at LFC would like to wish Nuri all the best for the future.”
