The Notre Dame coaches have got themselves some funky new caps for their trip to Ireland

Arrah, sure it wouldn’t be a trip to Ireland without them.

WITH A FULL house expected in the Aviva Stadium for Saturday afternoon’s Emerald Isle Classic, the Notre Dame coaches don’t want to lose the fashion war against their old rivals from Navy.

They need not worry — they’ve got these uber-trendy Gatsby caps, complete with the game logo, to show off on the sidelines.

Just don’t forget to take the tags off, lads.

Is this the ugliest billion-dollar stadium you have ever seen?

It was shocking. Guys out with brushes were sweeping water off areas of the pitch. It’s so unfair on players and coaches to be judged on that. It pounded down with rain from 1pm yesterday and it was blatantly obvious the surface would be dreadful. Shame on the fixtures committee or whoever wouldn’t defer the match.

It is outrageous that last night’s game was allowed to go ahead. The weather isn’t too bad now but I’d say the pitch is in bits so can’t blame them for calling it off.
