Nixon hints at 'doping' before schoolgirl video-tape incident

AFL super-scout doesn’t know how he got to the hotel room where infamous pictures were taken.

SHAMED AUSSIE RULES super-agent Ricky Nixon has implied he was drugged before being filmed inside a schoolgirl’s hotel room in his underwear.

The footy scout lost his agent’s licence when footage emerged of him in the hotel room with the 17-year-old at the centre of the St Kilda sex scandal.

Nixon is well-known on these shores as the agent who drove the AFL’s controversial attempts to court GAA stars over the past few years.

He represented former Kerry star Tommy Walsh, while Niall McKeever, Jamie O’Reilly and Conor Meredith have all recently relocated to Australia after impressing Nixon during one of his Irish training camps.

Yesterday Nixon said he was discussing about the scandal ‘for the last time’ but hinted that he may have been drugged.

Speaking on local radio, Nixon said he didn’t want to spark another police probe but suggested drugs were the reason he couldn’t explain being in the hotel room.

“The answer is still I don’t know,” Nixon said.

“But what people don’t know is I was found a few hours after that outside my office at Etihad Stadium some 3km from the hotel room in not a great way.

“Let’s just say that there is a good reason why I don’t know what happened.”

When the presenter, Steve Price, asked if he thought his drink had been spiked, Nixon replied: “All I’ll say is that I’ve always thought you’re a smart bloke, that you’re very good at analysing things and nine times out of 10 you are right in what you say, Steve.”
