KILKENNY’S AIDAN FOGARTY will make his long-awaited return from injury when the Cats take on Anthony Daly’s Dublin in Nowlan Park tomorrow.
The Emeralds forward has been out of inter-county action since breaking his leg against Offaly last April, and he returns as one of five changes made by Brian Cody for tomorrow’s Division 1A clash.
Regular goalkeeper David Herity replaces Eoin Murphy between the sticks, and Noel Hickey and Brian Hogan return to the back lines after sitting out last weekend’s 2-21 to 1-15 win against Waterford. Michael Rice partners Michael Fennelly in midfield.
Sunday’s one-point defeat against Cork means that Dublin are winless from their opening two games, and Daly has made two changes from his starting XV.
St Brigid’s Alan Nolan is named in goal while David “Dotsy” O’Callaghan makes his first start of the season, replacing David Treacy at corner-forward.
Liam Rushe, who replaced Shane Stapleton shortly before throw-in last weekend, starts again at full-forward.
