Watch NFL players read mean tweets about themselves

Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the American football season in his unique style.

BY NOW YOU’RE well familiar with the concept.

Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel gets a bunch of celebrities into his studio and has them read mean tweets about themselves.

To kick off the new NFL season, Kimmel asked some current and former NFL players – as well as Erin Andrews – to read some of the worst offenders.

They range from the mean (poor Terrell Suggs) to the hilarious (poor Michael Strahan) and it finishes with a brilliant riposte from Malcolm Smith.

Obviously this contains some naughty language because it is Twitter content after all.
