ONE DIEHARD NEWCASTLE United fan has gone the extra mile to show his support for the Magpies by getting a glass eye specially-made with the club’s crest on it.

Andrew Canavan, who lost his right eye when he was 15, had a conversation about people choosing unusual designs for their prosthetic eyes and opted for the Newcastle badge.

“I saw it as a window of opportunity where I could show my colours in a different way,” he told Sky Tyne and Wear. “Something you can’t get from the club shop.

“I like to be a little bit different.”
