SKY SPORTS TODAY announced they are dedicating an entire channel to this year’s Ryder Cup offering two weeks of round-the-clock coverage of the event.
Starting on September 18 and continuing through to Thursday October 2, the channel will feature over 330 hours of golf, including 36 hours of live coverage from Gleneagles.
The ‘new’ channel will replace Sky Sports 4 in a move similar to the one that saw the introduction of Sky Sports Ashes in 2013.
Speaking at the launch, European Ryder Cup team captain Paul McGinley said:
“The Ryder Cup is a truly unique sporting spectacle, full of drama, excitement and passion, all of which has been brought to life for the television viewers over the years by Sky Sports. “
David Livingstone will present the coverage this year alongside his usual sidekicks including Colin Montgomerie and Butch Harmon.
