BARCELONA LAUNCHED NEW jerseys for next season yesterday and the good news is they are nowhere near as ugly as their current efforts.
The famous thin stripes have returned to the home kit while they have replaced the away ‘solero’ inspired number with one based on the Catalan flag design (the Senyera).
However, here at TheScore.ie we can’t help but wonder if it’s actually a nod to Roy Race’s Melchester Rovers.
Race was, afterall, the best player the game has ever seen before a certain Lionel Messi came along.

Fair play to them
@Crpytoalchol: exactly and fair play to the 42 for covering athletics. hopefully we’ll see alot more great performances and more articles as the u20 world championships start tomorrow in Finland.
Young people of Ireland take note this could be you congratulations
Spectacular effort! Well done girls! They’re pushing the boxers for achievements. Tokyo will be too soon but the Olympics will be interesting in 6 years.
They read deal, unfortunately they will be tempted with scholarships from US universities and we’ll never see them again. Let’s hope let’s hope Dave mahedy new track can inspire them to go to university in Limerick
@Martin Sinnott: even if they go to usa university, that do not mean they will not run for Ireland, remember Ronnie Delaney Eamonn Coughlan etc went to university where they got the BEST coaching & were medal winners for Ireland
@James_665: yeah , I agree , that’s a ridiculous statement . What does worry me is Australia will offer O Sullivan’s nice package and the UK might offer the sprinters a relocation package .. but the ones who go to Villanova etc are the ones who have brought home the medals at senior level .
Very proud of our wonderful athletes. Great to see them all recognized as a team.
Athletics is in a great place right now, those athelets will go on to be world beaters, Congrats All ♧
