THE NBA PLAYERS union has rejected the league’s latest offer and is beginning the process of disbanding.
The decision throws the entire season into jeopardy.
Union executive director Billy Hunter says the players’ association is prepared to file an antitrust action against the NBA. He says this is the best situation for “players can get their due process.”
Hunter says players were not prepared to accept the NBA Commissioner David Stern’s ultimatum, saying they thought it was “extremely unfair.”
