National Football League as it happened: Cork v Kerry

We went minute-by-minute as the Rebels played Jack O’Connor’s men.

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this afternoon’s action. E-mail paul@thescore.ie, tweet @thescore_iepost a message to our Facebook wall, or leave a comment below.

Cork 0-11 Kerry 0-13 (FT)

14.51Anthony Maher has scored the first point of the game with an audacious attempt from distance, and Alan O’Connor has ensured an immediate Cork response with a free.

15.18 – Graham Canty bursts through on goal and, with only the keeper to beat, finds the wrong side of the post. That was a gilt-edged opportunity to get Cork back in the game.

15.44Barry John Keane fires over, and the umpire takes his time, before eventually deciding it was indeed between the posts.

16.08 – Some nice passing by Cork allows Aidan Walsh to find space and strike it over the bar. And suddenly, Cork are only three points behind their opponents.

And Canty has just missed another one-on-one with the keeper, hitting it straight at his legs.
