VIDEO: Nathan White was a lucky Kiwi to avoid red for this stamp

The Connacht tight-head was sent to the sin-bin for his over-eagerness at the breakdown.

CONNACHT ARE TRAILING Saracens 18-6 at half-time in their Heineken Cup Pool 3 clash at Allianz Park.

Pat Lam’s men will start the second-half without the services of tight-head Nathan White after he was yellow carded for bringing his boot down on Sarries’ Brad Barritt. Referee Leighton Hodges referred the incident to the video referee, who claimed to be partially un-sighted despite at least one clear replay angle.

After taking advice from upstairs, Hodges opted to send the New Zealander to the sin bin for his over-zealous antics at clearing out a ruck.

Ospreys lock Ian Evans was sent off last night after stamping on Mike McCarthy in a similarly reckless manner.

Do you think White should have been given a red or yellow card?
