Munster rivals prepare for U21 showdown

Cork and Limerick have announced their starting XVs for tonight’s Munster U21 Hurling final.

LIMERICK WILL HAVE home advantage on their side this evening when they welcome Cork to the Gaelic Grounds for the Munster U21 Hurling final (throw-in, 7.30pm).

Shannonsiders boss Leo O’Connor has made just one change to the side which scored a seven-point victory over Clare, booking the county’s first provincial final appearance since 2002.

Graham Mulcahy replaces Willie Griffin in the full-forward line, where he’ll be joined by senior star Kevin Downes and Mike Ryan of Murroe/Boher.

Cork, who had a seven-point win of their own against All-Ireland champions Tipperary in the last round, have also made one change to their line-up. Damien Calhane slots in full-back with Eddie Finn dropping to the bench.

Tonight’s final is live on TG4, with the winners progressing to an All-Ireland semi-final date against Galway on 20 August.
