Versatile Hurley, who has played as winger full-back and centre, has made 130 appearances for Munster since coming through their academy.
Fellow 29-year-old Murphy, originally from Kildare, arrived from Leicester Tigers in 2010 and has gone onto play 79 times – scoring 12 tries along the way.
Munster, who were knocked out of the Heineken Cup by Toulon on Sunday, also revealed that prop Martin Kelly has agreed to join from Dublin University on a one-year development deal.
