Some of the world's best rugby fans have been partying in Clermont

Munster supporters got involved as the Yellow Army led a march to Stade Marcel-Michelin.

IT’S NOT ONLY a battle of European heavyweights on the pitch today as Clermont host Munster in the Champions Cup [KO 15.15 Irish time], but also in the stands.

Munster’s travelling support have built a superb reputation around the continent over the last decade, while ASM’s fanbase is well known as welcoming, loyal and passionate.

There was a truly unique spectacle this afternoon in Clermont-Ferrand, as the ‘Yellow Army’ invited the ‘Red Army’ to join them on a three-kilometre march from Place de Jaude in the city centre out to Stade Marcel-Michelin.

The party started last night, in truth, but there were 4,000 ASM supporters involved in today’s march, and well over 1,000 Munster fans too. Here’s how it went down.

Fans started to gather in Place de Jaude from 13.30 local time, with the signing sparking up straight away

Its great seeing supporters mingling together like this. If it was football you’d be waiting for a melee to kick off

Munster supporters known “all over Europe”? Since Rugby isn’t hardly known at all in Europe isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration?

Sorry sean i don’t hate anyone i just enjoy taking the piss out of munster fans who for years had the rugby world convinced of their unbelievable pashun for rugby when in reality they were just a shower of bandwagon jumping johnny come latelys who now get extremely irate with me and like minded individuals who try to point out the error of your ways.and before you accuse me of being bitter and twisted the only bitterness i see on these pages come from munster fans towards me who can’t handle a bit of slagging.

Your so hell bent on dispelling the Munster “bandwagonne” yet you never post on Leinsters treads whos fan bass has exploded the last 6 year’s.
You surly are not so dimwitted you can’t understand how professional sports works ? No tickets sales no team !
The more people that come and watch Irish rugby teams the better old fans and new all are welcome.

Sean, calm down i have said many times on these pages that i suspect that leinster have an element of bandwagon fans as well but as as i make a point of dealing only in facts i only comment on articles about munster fans as i have been more exposed to these numpties due to the fact that i live amongst them.you surely know the guys i speak of,the lads who showed no interest in any sport in school but are now to be seen with red army jerseys welded onto their beerguts whilst roaring at the tvs in the pubs of munster about pashun ,grace of god ,physicality ,suaf and all the latest buzzwordsI understand that all sports attract casual fans and their money is as welcome as the diehards but please go to your matches ,support your teams but for god sake we don’t need to hear how wonderful you all are afterwards.
ps.its not wise to call someone dimwitted in a post with the amount of grammattical errors you just made.

So what your saying is that your problem is with the boys down the pub!
Well grow a pair and tell them you have a problem with them. Then you can stop trolling this site with your constant one themed argument .
Most of the posters on here are real fans get yourself a new hobby and let the real fans on here get on with talking about the games

What a great trip despite the result. What wonderful fans Clermont have. Gracious in victory and appreciated that we travelled. An example to all who love rugby. Best team won again today. Sorry Paul is right…best ignore the begrudgers and the bile they belch in search of notice they probably didn’t get as children. Best response is to post no thumbs and no comments relating to them.
