Movember power rankings: the top 10 sporting mos, week 1

As Movember kicks off for another year, we assess the early contenders from sports stars at home and further afield.

ONCE AGAIN WE’RE fully behind the Movember cause here at TheScore.ie HQ and we’re delighted to see sports stars getting into the spirit.

But as with last year, it’s not about taking part. It’s about winning.

So we’ve ranked ten of the best efforts so far and we’ll track their progress over the rest of the month.

If you spot a particularly nice nose neighbour that we’ve missed, let us know and your favourite might break into the top 10 next week.

May the best mo’ win.

    We needed to call in an external arbitrator to rule on Bastareaud's mo. It seems incredible that a man can grow this much facial hair in a week but the TMO says it's ok -- he's the week one winner.

    I’m pretty sure there are no rules …. its a bit of fun to raise awareness for a worthy cause. I think if guys want to have shamrocks and braids as part of their mos then that should be perfectly acceptable!
