FOLLOWING HIS NARROW loss to Michael Hoey at the recent Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Rory McIlroy has recovered well to share the lead at the end of day two of the Korea Open.
McIlroy hit a second-round 69, which means he is now joint top with Rickie Fowler, Bronson La’Cassie, YE Yang and Joong-Kyung, having been trailing by one shot at the end of day one.
The Northern Irishman hit five birdies to compensate for bogeys on the 13th, 15th and 16th hole, leaving him joint top on the leaderboard.
Korea’s Meen-Whe Kim was the group’s closest challenger on two under.
