5 changes of Mayo as they get set to face Derry for final spot

James Horan was always going to make changes after last week’s phoney war.

MAYO TAKE ON Derry for the second time in a week in the Allianz Football League semi-finals on Sunday and James Horan has unsurprisingly changed things around after last weekend’s phoney war.

Brendan Harrison is named at corner-back instead of Kevin Keane while Lee Keegan is named at 5 with Shane McHale making way.

Aidan O’Shea and Jason Gibbons make up an entirely new midfield with Kevin McLoughlin replacing the injured Cillian O’Connor the other change.

O’Connor had been receiving treatment on a glute injury but was hopeful of playing against Derry.

Throw in on Sunday is 2pm.

Mayo team to play Derry: Robbie Hennelly (Breaffy); Brendan Harrison (Aghamore), Ger Cafferkey (Ballina Stephenites), Tom Cunniffe (Castlebar Mitchels); Lee Keegan (Westport), Colm Boyle (Davitts), Donal Vaughan (Ballinrobe); Aidan O’Shea (Breaffy), Jason Gibbons (Ballintubber); Keith Higgins (Ballyhaunis), Andy Moran (Ballaghaderreen – Capt.), Jason Doherty (Burrishoole); Kevin McLoughlin (Knockmore), Alan Freeman (Aghamore), Mickey Sweeney (Kiltane).
