THIS MAY BE one of the forgotten highlights of 2013.
At the Arnold Palmer invitational back in March, Matt Every’s tee shot on the third found a water hazard.
Most people would have taken the penalty drop and moved on, safe in the knowledge that they had 15 more holes to make amends.
Not Every though. Oh no. The way he saw it, the ball was just about playable enough for him to get a good strike on it.
So he got down into the shallow water and gave it a lash from 124 yards.
The golf gods obviously like that sort of daring attitude – his ball bounced up onto the green and just past the hole before spinning back for an eagle two.
Tasty.
