Martin O'Neill issues new Keane statement: 'Roy has my full support'

The Irish manager also says Keane has the support of the FAI.

MARTIN Oโ€™NEILL HAS issued a new statement this morning reasserting his โ€œfull supportโ€ for assistant manager Roy Keane.

Keane was involved in an incident outside the Ireland team hotel yesterday.

In a video statement issued by the FAI, Oโ€™Neill says:

โ€œThe FAI and I have been fully briefed about the circumstances of what happened at the team hotel last night.

โ€œRoy asked that the Gardaรญ be called and he has notified them of what had happened.

โ€œWhile this process is ongoing, we are unable to say more at this point.

โ€œHowever I can say that having been made aware of the facts that Roy has both my full support and the full support of the FAI and John Delaney.

โ€œWe are now focused as we have been all week on the game in hand and we wonโ€™t be saying anything more about this issue.โ€
