MARTIN OโNEILL HAS issued a new statement this morning reasserting his โfull supportโ for assistant manager Roy Keane.
Keane was involved in an incident outside the Ireland team hotel yesterday.
In a video statement issued by the FAI, OโNeill says:
โThe FAI and I have been fully briefed about the circumstances of what happened at the team hotel last night.
โRoy asked that the Gardaรญ be called and he has notified them of what had happened.
โWhile this process is ongoing, we are unable to say more at this point.
โHowever I can say that having been made aware of the facts that Roy has both my full support and the full support of the FAI and John Delaney.
โWe are now focused as we have been all week on the game in hand and we wonโt be saying anything more about this issue.โ
