IT’S THE ONLY show in town. Ireland make the short trip across the water for a pivotal Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland this evening.
With just four points separating five teams in Group D (sorry Gibraltar), it’s no surprise that the Boys in Green are focusing on the little details that could make a big difference.
“You’re looking for that extra percentage that you can get from players, both physically and mentally,” Martin O’Neill explained when he welcomed the cameras behind the scenes in Malahide last month.
Among other things, that means tracking players’ movements in minute detail and digging deep to uncover any room for improvement.
“Instilling a will to win is very, very important,” O’Neill said. “It’s time really now to have a winning mentality.”
