Boost for Kerry as county stars return to training

The Kingdom face All-Ireland finalists Mayo in Castlebar this weekend.

MARC Ó SÉ could be back in action sooner rather than later.

Kerry’s four-time All-Ireland winner was rested for the opening two rounds of the league campaign but has resumed training ahead of Sunday’s trip to Mayo.

Manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice can also call upon Johnny Buckley, Fionn Fitzgerald and Daithí Casey who have returned to the county ranks following their All-Ireland defeat with Dr Crokes.

But clubmate Kieran O’Leary has been ruled of Sunday’s squad with a back strain.

Darran O’Sullivan has also returned to training following his hip operation but is not expected to be in contention this weekend.

Fitzmaurice will name his team to face the All-Ireland finalists at 5pm on Friday.

Why are some of the GAA’s biggest names taking their All-Ireland medals to the top of Carrauntoohil?
