Daniel Osvaldo has scored a tasty lob against Man City

It is just his second goal since joining Southampton in the summer.

PABLO DANIEL Osvaldo netted a sumptuous strike to earn Southampton a 1-1 draw in a pulsating encounter with Manchester City.

The fiery Italy international was involved in an unseemly post-match melee as Southampton slipped to a third consecutive defeat amid an injury crisis against Aston Villa on Wednesday, but he returned to St Mary’s Stadium and grabbed the headlines for the right reasons.

A superb individual effort from the big-money close-season signing was the least Mauricio Pochettino’s team deserved in a match they dominated for long periods after Sergio Aguero continued his purple patch in front of goal in the 10th minute.

Manuel Pellegrini’s City won at West Brom on Wednesday, but this was a display far more in tune with the away-day woes that threaten to derail their Premier League title bid.

I’m the first one to say sky sports are a gang of c@#ts but is it even legal for the score to show premier league clips before anyone else?I say this in the vain hope that the score bucks up or bucks off

The score aren’t showing anything…go to YouTube and complain or better yet go do something constructive instead of whinging.

The score, the goal was scored by a chip not a lob. You can’t lob a ball that is one the ground to start with. You never hear of a golfer lobbing a ball into the hole.
