THE WOMAN WHO said she felt humiliated by the bedroom antics of England trio James Haskell, Dylan Hartley and Chris Ashton, has quit her job.

The trio have since apologised to Angela Carter for their actions, but stuff.co.nz reports that according to her friends, the maid blamed a lack of support from her employer as the main reason for her departure.

The hotel in which she worked have refused to comment on the matter.

The actions of the players were widely condemned by rugby commentators, while Martin Johnson confirmed that the trio had been “reprimanded for their behaviour”.

It is not the first indiscretion that has threatened to overshadow England’s on-field displays, though the squad have enjoyed a largely successful tournament thus far, winning all their group games, albeit in a less than convincing fashion at times.

Meanwhile, The Guardian is reporting that that England could be set to start both Toby Flood and Jonny Wilkinson in the upcoming World Cup quarter-final against France.

It has been over 20 months since the duo played together, but Flood’s impressive form of late, coupled with Wilkinson’s excellent record against France, means that Johnson may sidestep the dilemma by starting them both.

The game starts at 8.30am this Saturday.
