NOW THAT YOU can get football boots in every colour under the sun, Adidas have gone in a new direction with their latest range by launching the first knitted boot.

The limited edition Samba Primeknit is described as the “latest chapter in a rich history of revolutionary products” by the brand and will be first worn by Liverpool striker Luis Suarez against Manchester United on 16 March.

“Every adidas product is developed with the player in mind and in particular, the needs of the player,” says Markus Baumann, Senior VP for Global Football at Adidas.

By producing the world’s first knitted football boot we have provided a brand new solution to the search for higher levels of comfort and flexibility.”

We’re interested to see how they would hold up on a wet Sunday morning in Bushy Park.
