LEE MURTAGH AND Dylan Connolly headed Shelbourne to a 2-0 win over Cobh Ramblers in Tolka Park this evening.

The two first-half goals were enough to wrap up the points and continue Shels’ unbeaten start in the First Division.

Johnny McDonnell’s side are now seven points clear of second-placed Wexford Youths, who were beaten 1-0 by Galway FC in Ferrycarrig Park.

Ryan Manning’s looping header just after the hour mark was the game’s only goal and gave Tommy Dunne’s men their first win on the road.

After five draws in their first six games Waterford United finally clinched their first win of the season, and again it was a header that decided matters.

Paddy Barrett nodded home a Shane Murray corner in the second minute to give the Blues a 1-0 win over Shamrock Rovers B.
