Liverpool supporters angered by William Roache imposter

A Twitter account, which falsely claimed to represent the Coronation Street star, has attempted to begin a campaign to make Suarez apologise for his alleged behaviour.

LIVERPOOL FANS WERE left furious last night, after a fake Twitter account claiming to be Coronation Street star William Roache made a series of provocative tweets in relation to the Luis Suarez racism debate.

The Roache imposter branded the Liverpool star a “thoroughly unpleasant git” on Twitter and also attempted to get the hashtag #SaySorrySuarez trending, as he launched a tirade against the Uruguayan.

However, a tweet from the official Coronation Street account subsequently confirmed that the Roache account was fake.

The imposter had claimed to have the read the FA’s recently released report on the case in its entirety, and castigated Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish for continuing to support the star.

He (or she) tweeted: “Saddened by your role in the Suarez affair Ken. Consider yourself blackballed from the Bill Roache Golf Invitational.”

And despite claiming to have received a torrent of abuse from Liverpool fans, the imposter continued to demand that both Dalglish and Suarez apologise, tweeting.

“Would create too much negative energy to retweet the idiots. Lets do something positive, get an apology to put this to rest.”

Liverpool have yet to comment, following the release of the FA’s report last Saturday, and have said they will take time to “to read, digest and properly consider” the judgement.
