Liverpool striker displays bad grammar, unpopular 9/11 views on Twitter

Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston is in trouble with the club after comments he made on Twitter about September 11th.

LIVERPOOL STRIKER NATHAN Eccleston is in trouble with the club after claiming that the September 11th attacks in New York ten years ago were not the work of terrorists.

The 20-year-old tweeted: “I aint going to say attack don’t let the media make u believe that was terrorist that did it.”

This translates in English as: “You say potato, I say government conspiracy.”

Anyway, the club’s American owners have started their own investigation into the matter, with a club spokesman telling the Daily Mail: “The club takes this matter extremely seriously and senior club officials have informed Nathan Eccleston that we are undertaking an investigation into the circumstances surrounding these postings and will decide on an appropriate course of action.”

Eccleston took down the offending tweet and then claimed his views were taken out of context.

Makes us wonder what context he could have meant it in…
