Jamie Carragher wants Liverpool to sign Ross Barkley as a replacement for Gerrard

But the former Reds captain seems a little off with his valuation of the Everton star…

THERE’S NOTHING LIKE the Scouse sense of humour, they say.

And Jamie Carragher had a bit of fun earlier today when he suggested his former club should cross town to pick up a replacement for the soon-to-be departed Steven Gerrard.

According to the club’s former captain, Everton wonder-kid Ross Barkley is the perfect player to step into the midfield role Gerrard will be vacating.

But, it would seem Carragher would like Barkley at a bit of a discount rate.

Enough of Gerrard now he's leaving. Replacement has to be Ross Barkley offer 10 million go to 12 tops job done.
