And according to reports, several of the Anfield club’s fans have been spotted in Amsterdam ahead of tonight’s Europa League final, having pre-emptively bought tickets when Liverpool were still in the competition.
The banner in the pic below was consequently unfurled earlier.
Chelsea fans apparently got some retribution however, with Sky News Sports Correspondent Paul Kelso tweeting: “And, surprise surprise, suggestions that one Liverpool banner has already found its way into a canal.”
I really hope benfica win for no other reason than the way their fans treat the clubs manager. I’m an arsenal supporter and I have no particular grá for Benitez but what he has had to put up with is just pathetic .
