The front page of this evening’s Liverpool Echo special Hillsborough edition

The paper’s front-page splash is a powerful summary of the main findings from today’s independent report.

ON WEDNESDAY MORNING the Liverpool Echo ran a moving front page splash with pictures of the 96 Hillsborough victims, calling it “96 reasons for the truth” about the 1989 stadium disaster to finally come out.

Following today’s publication of a revealing and damning report by the Hillsborough Independent Panel — which you can read in full here — the Merseyside paper has run with a powerful summary of the findings on the front of its evening edition.
