DIEGO COSTA SCORED his 10th goal of the campaign as Premier League leaders Chelsea continued their unbeaten start to the season by winning 2-1 at Liverpool on Saturday.
There was some controversy late on as Gary Cahill looked to have handled Steven Gerrardโs shot but referee Anthony Taylor waved play on.

Bidding to avenge their costly 2-0 loss in last seasonโs corresponding fixture in April, scene of captain Steven Gerrardโs infamous slip, Liverpool took an early lead through Emre Canโs deflected shot.
But Gary Cahill equalised almost immediately for Jose Mourinhoโs Chelsea before Costa slammed home 23 minutes from time to silence Anfield and provisionally increase his sideโs lead at the summit to seven points.
Runners-up to Manchester City last season, Liverpool have now lost three successive games in all competitions and trail Chelsea by a huge 15 points.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers restored a host of the first-team players controversially rested for the midweek loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League and saw his team go ahead in the ninth minute.
Can had a shot deflected over by John Terry in the first minute, but Chelsea did not heed the warning and when he took aim from similar range moments later, the ball cannoned off Cahill and into the net.
But within five minutes Chelsea were level, after a goal that required the aid of goal-line technology.
Simon Mignolet parried from Terry at a corner and although the Liverpool goalkeeper got his body fully behind Cahillโs follow-up, Hawk-Eye replays showed that the Belgian had carried the ball over the line.
While Chelsea finished the first half strongly, they were indebted to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for getting down sharply to thwart Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling either side of half-time.
Having been embroiled in a physical tussle with Martin Skrtel for much of the game, Costa provided a reminder of his predatory instincts to settle the game in the 67th minute.
After eluding Coutinho on the Chelsea left, Cesar Azpilicueta saw his cross pushed out by Mignolet, but Costa was in the right place to rattle a half-volley into the net from close range.
Just listening Brendan saying we should have got a drawโฆcome on we deserved nothing. Should have been bombarding Chelsea its fโฌ&@&ing Anfield Brendanโฆnot good enough
Karma in full circle, Pool got some very soft, debatable penalties last season.
it was a penalty but Chelsea could have got one first half for handball also, so evens it self out however Chelsea far superior team in the match.
So says you Andrew. Some how I doubt you would be able to provide anything more than anecdotal evidence of these soft penaltiesโฆ.. but donโt let that stop you.
And if Karma had anything to do with it Chelsea would be bottom of league one.
why?
Because the have completely and utterly given themselves up to the forces of darkness.
good Lord man catch yourself on.
Spot on!
Liverpool lose to Real Madrid and Chelsea by a one goal margin in the space of five days. What time does the parade start?
They are going to ask United for a lend of the ones you guys used after the draw with West Brom.
definitely was a penalty at the end, but when your as poor as liverpool were today you donโt get the decisions going for you. Best team won.
No threat up front, too slow build up, Fitness and sharpness in question
Talk about a sensationalist headline.
