All accounted for? Right, on with the show!

GOAL: Norwich 0 – 1 Liverpool (Suarez ’1)

Liverpool get the very best possible start with a goal right off of Brendan Rodgers’ etch-a-sketch.

Liverpool, in grey, worked the ball down the left through Glen Johnson  and he cut back to Suarez who linked with Nuri Sahin whose instant return pass found the Uruguayan on the edge of the box with time tot fire into Ruddy’s bottom right corner.

GOAL: Everton 0 –  1 Southampton (Gaston Ramirez ’6)

Even better news for Liverpool fans as the Toffees fall behind to the newly promoted side. Adam Lallana’s cross found the club’s record signing in acres of space to head home.

PENALTY TO FULHAM….

GOAL: Fulham 1 – 0 Man City (Petric ’10 pen)

The penalty is converted by Mladen Petric after Zabaleta was adjudged to have pulled back John Arne Riise. we haven’t seen it live, but there is a heavy suggestion that the foul was outside of the box.

That’s academic now, though. The champions trail.

GOAL: Stoke 1-0 Swansea (Crouch ’12)

And Stoke strike first in the clash of styles. Michel Vorm does well to stop Jon Walters from finding the net, but the resulting corner finds a virtually unmarked Peter Crouch who makes no mistake.

Back at Carrow Road Liverpool are in control, but could easily have conceded an equaliser when a cross from the right found Simeon Jackson lunging in at the back post. Reina did well to save the low effort from creeping inside his near post.

The Spanish ‘keeper looked a little less assured when coming to meet a long ball just outside the area. As the ball bounced he appeared to have to alter his approach to the ball and he was fortunate a mis-timed clearance made it to the sideline.

Suarez- watch: The striker is once again at the heart of a penalty claim. As he gets in behind Barnett and goes down under some very close attention. No Penalty.

Definite contact from the defenders elbow on the top of Suarez’ shoulder. If it’s not Luis Suarez Liverpool would have had a chance from the spot.

GOAL: Everton 1 – 1 Southampton (Osman ’24)

The Toffees are giving a strong case to be considered the most entertaining side in the league. Mirallas’ cross is flicked on by Jelavic to give Leon Osman the easy task of equalising.

Man City are starting to come alive at Craven Cottage. A big chance spurned by Sergio Aguero.

GOAL: Everton 2 – 1 Southampton (Jelavic ’33)

GOAL: Norwich 0 – 2 Liverpool (Suarez ‘ 36)

There have been big chances at both ends, but seconds after one of them is spurned by Luis Suarez he poaches possession from Turner, nutmegs him and proceeds to the 18-yard line where he guides the ball into the corner via the outside of his right boot.

When he’s good, he’s very very good…

GOAL: Stoke 2 – 0 Swansea (Crouch ’38)

Another bout of brawn versus… whatever Swansea has, ends with another score for Peter Crouch after Jon Walters helped a cross into his path.

GOAL Everton 3 – 1 Southampton (Jelavic ’39)

Irish interest at Goodison too where Seamus Coleman has provided Nikica Jelavic with his second of the day. Everton have been phenomenal on the front foot this season.

GOAL: Fulham 1 – 1 Man City (Aguero ’43)

It’s been coming. Tevez’ cross is diverted on target by David Silva. Schwarzer saves, but only pushes the ball into the path of Aguero who couldn’t have missed from there.

Shortly after the ping of Marouane Fellani hitting the bar can be heard at Goodison, the ping of the half time whistle blows in all six games. Here’s how they stand after 45 minutes.

Everton 3- 1 Southampton

Fulham 1 – 1 Man City

Norwich 0 – 2 Liverpool

Reading 0 – 0 Newcastle United

Stoke 2 – 0 Swansea

Sunderland 0 – 0 Wigan

GOAL: Norwich 0 – 3 Liverpool (Sahin ’46)

We’re underway in the second half and Grant Holt has replaced Simeon Jackson – who, on another day might have had a hat-trick.

The Canaries instantly attack, but Robert Snodgrass finds the ball embarrassingly bouncing off his thigh and over the bar from two yards.

At the other end, Suarez rides a challenge in the area (note, no dive) and fires a shot. Saved by Ruddy. Suarez controls the rebound, and rightly opts not to fire again, instead picking out Sahin to tap in.

RED CARD: Jordi Gomez (Wigan)

Big chance for Sunderland to march on towards three points now as their visitors are reduced to 10 men. We didn’t see the incident, but this man did.

GOAL: Sunderland 1-0 Wigan (Steven Fletcher ’52)

And in no time, the Mackems have capitalised. James McClean cutting in from the left and drilling a cross for the in-form Fletcher to do what he does.

GOAL Norwich 0 – 4 Liverpool (Suarez ’57)

There’s Luis Suarez’ hat trick: a beautifully guided right foot shot from left to right across Ruddy and into the bottom corner.

GOALS: Reading 1 – 1 Newcastle (Kebe ’58 and Ba ’59 )

GOAL Norwich 1 – 4 Liverpool (Morison ’60)

Justice for Norwich, who could have easily have been leading this game at half time. This consolation comes after Reina spilled a powerful strike back to the penalty spot where the striker was only too happy to sweep the finish goalward.

GOAL: Reading 2 – 1 Newcastle (Hunt ’61)

Three goals flood in inside five minutes. Reading take the lead a second time through Noel Hunt. Jobi McAnuff’s deep cross found the Waterford man who finished with a glancing header.

GOAL: Norwich 1 – 5 Liverpool (Gerrard ’68)

Liverpool fans, you can relax now. Three Premier League points are on the way and who likes getting in on a rout more than Steven Gerrard. The skipper adds goal number five thanks to a massive deflection.

Alright, with 20 minutes to go, lets turn our attention to Man City who are still level with Fulham.

Bryan Ruiz has just tested Joe Hart with a stinging drive seconds after the Whites were claiming a penalty when Riise’s cross is smashed off Zabaleta’s arm.

Attacking substitution from Roberto Mancini as he introduces Samir Nasri in place of Gareth Barry. City currently offering nothing more imaginative than crosses into the mixer in the hope of Mario Balotelli getting a touch.

Schwarzer able to hold on to most in one or two attempts.

Ooh! Peter Crouch almost joins Luis Suarez in the hat-trick column. He meets Etherington’s cross with a header, but can only direct it against the frame of the goal.

Chris Baird is withdrawn by Martin Jol in place of Giorgios Karagounis. A little more footballing ability in Fulham’s engine room now.

So, along with Liverpool, Sunderland also look set to record their first win of the season and end Martin O’Neill’s 12 game streak without a victory. Wigan offering very little in attack up north.

Did someone say ‘secret weapon’?

Edin Dzeko is about to take the field for City as Baloteli lines up a 30 yard free kick…. the wall jumps and clears to safety.

Javi Garcia is given the shepherd’s crook to allow the Bosnian work his magic.

GOAL Fulham 1 – 2 Man City (Dzeko ’86)

Boom!

60 seconds after taking the field Dzeko takes two touches to give City the lead.

Balotelli flicked on a cross from the left and Riise’s clearance was weak, back at Dzeko who touched, turned and blasted into the apex of the goal.

GOAL: Reading 2-2 Newcastle  (Demba Ba ’85)

GOAL: Norwich 2-5 Liverpool  (Holt ’85)

FULL TIME: Fulham 1 – 2 Man City

The whistles start to go in half a dozen Premier league grounds, Fulham started with a roar, but finished with a whimper at home to City.

FULL TIME: Reading 2 – 2 Newcastle

The Royals took the lead twice, and almost made it a third at the death as Jobi McAnuff hit the woodwork. Demba Ba gets Newcastle – and their manager for the foreseeable future, Alan Pardew – out of jail.

And the remaining, more mundane finishes

FULL-TIME: Everton 3-1 Southampton

FULL-TIME: Sunderland 1-0 Wigan

FULL-TIME: Stoke 2-0 Swansea

FULL-TIME: Norwich 2-5 Liverpool

Well, I’m off to lie down in a darkened room after that. Goals… so many goals.
