The Cork number 14, Mulcahy, is proving a pest to the Kingdom defence but they deal with the threat of the Cork forward, twice, and clear the ball.

Wonderful play from Cork, and Mulcahy, who sees off the challenge of three Kerry defender to put two in it. In the next wave Cork make it three and Doireann O’Sullivan gets her first score of the game.

Megan O’Connell has a good chance for Kerry but she kicks high and wide. The Kingdom need to take their chances when they get them, especially with the Cork side so decisive.

Just as I write that, Mulcahy shoots wide.

A fine score from Lorraine Scanlon for Kerry and there’s just a single point in it now. Fine work from Houlihan in the build-up.

Geraldine O’Flynn shows all of her experience to capitalise on some sloppy Kerry possession, advance and point from quite the distance, and not long afterwards the Rebels put three in the difference.

That last Cork score was a free from Valerie Mulcahy.

How did Bernie Breen miss that? It looked like a straightforward point from the Kerry player but she kicked wide.

Plenty of possession from the team in green and gold, but not enough accuracy from the boot.

Further scores from Cork, who are making everything look so simple. First, Valerie Mulcahy grabs her fourth point of the game, before Doireann O’Sullivan lashes over the Kerry bar.

Six points in the difference, and roughly five minutes to the half-time break, while Kerry’s Patrice Dennehy has come on for Deirdre Corridan.

Bríd Corkery does brilliantly to rampage forward for Cork and put seven points in the difference with a five, left-footed finish.

Valerie Mulcahy with a goal chance for Cork but she is forced to kick wide. She’s on fire today, with her pace and two footedness making her very tough for Kerry to mark.

Meanwhile, Sarah Houlihan has a second point for Kerry.

That’s half-time – Cork have been dominant, adding their tenth point of the game just before the whistle. Kerry need to create goal chances if they are to get back into this game.

A free from Murphy falls short and one of the Kerry defenders knocks it out of play. Murphy will take the 45, beginning a passage of play that almost results in a goal for Doireann O’Sullivan, but Edel Murphy is equal to it and Kerry get out of trouble.

After a Kerry effort drifts wide, Doireann O’Sullivan shows the neighbours how it should be done. We’re three and a half minutes from the end.

…and she repeats the feat. What a score from the Cork number 11, twisting and turning before applying a deadly finish. Doireann O’Sullivan is only 17-years-old – she has played like someone of ten years older today.

That’s full-time and Cork are well deserving of their win, their seventh All-Ireland in eight seasons. It was Kerry’s first defeat in an All-Ireland final.
