13.38 – Afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

You’ve joined us in ample time for what promises to be another dramatic day of  club hurling and football.

We’ll start of with updates as we get them from a big one in Kilkenny; the quarter final between James Stephens and Graigue-Ballycallan.

Let’s do this.

14.06 – Aha,  our tin can has been reconnected to its string and we are in full swing.

LATEST: James Stephens 1-3  Graigue Ballycallan 0-7

It’s a predictably tight tussle after 15 minutes in Freshford.

Graigue Ballycallan had raced into a 01- to 0-5 and 02- to 0-6 lead before before Stephens hit the net through Niall Mullins.

14.15LATEST: James Stephens 1-4  Graigue-Ballycallan 0-10

Graigue still keeping the score board ticking over landing two points for every score James Stephens can muster. 27 minutes played.

14.22GOAL!

HALF TIME:  James Stephens 2-5  Graigue Ballycallan 0-10

And Stephens hit the net again, and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. They’ve trailed throughout the first half, but now lead.

14.34 – Back in Dublin, we’re underway in the first football semi-final in Parnell Park an after 13 minutes…

LATEST: St Brigid’s 1-3 Kilmacud Crokes 0-5

14.38 – The for Brigids there is the most recent score in that game from Ken Kilmurray. And, as I type…

GOAL:  St Brigid’s 2-4 Kilmacud Crokes 0-5

Paddy Andrews provides a massive moment in the game to put Brigids four points up.

14.42 – The second half is off an running in Freshford and James Stephens have stretched their lead.

LATEST: James Stephens 2-8  Graigue Ballycallan 0-11

14.49LATEST: St Brigids: 2-8 Kilmacud Crokes: 0-7

Paul Mannion swings over a cracking point with his right  to reduce the deficit to two goals again before John O’Loughlin restores the seven-point cushion.

14.52LATEST: James Stephens 3-11 Graigue Ballycallan 0-14

No sign of a comeback in the Kilkenny SHC quarter-final (yet). 49 minutes gone and James Stephens look in full control.

15.12GOAL:

And incredibly, the sides are level!

Cian O’Sullivan grabs a second three-pointer for Kilmacud before Dias brings the score to …

LATEST: St Brigids: 2-9 Kilmacud Crokes: 2-9

Just five minutes gone in the second half.

15.17LATEST: St Brigids: 2-9 Kilmacud Crokes: 2-11

Brigids have that thousand-yard-stare about them.

Their eight-point lead from  half time has been utterly obliterated by 10 Crokes points without reply.

15.26 – Three Adrian Morrissey kept the Kilmacud Juggernaut going, until Ken D’Arcy stopped the rot with a free for Brigids and Cian Mullins follows it up.

Is that the ship steadied for the northsiders? Can they hit back?

50 minutes gone in Parnell Park

LATEST: St Brigids: 2-11 Kilmacud Crokes: 2-14

15.37LATEST: St Brigids: 2-12 Kilmacud Crokes: 2-16

Another score from Paul Mannion looks to have settled this game. 57 minutes gone

15.44LATEST: Ballintubber 0:01 Ballaghdereen 0:04

Ballaghdereen enjoying the early exchanges with Joe Dillon and Keith Rogers on the scoresheet before Barry Regan takes his second

Jason Gibbons has Ballintubber’s sole score after 14 minutes. But they also had a goal chance, blasted wide.

15.51 – The Ulster championship preliminary has started well for the Tyrone side. While down south in the Clare SFC final Kilmurry-Ibrickane looking ominously in control.

LATEST: Mullahoran 1-02 Errigal Ciaran 1-04

LATEST: Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-03 St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield 0-00

16.10GOAL:  Mayobridge 0-01 Kilcoo 1-00

Conor Lavery has made the first score of the Down SFC  count treble.  Mayobridge would surely have set their hopes on keeping him quiet. ‘Bridge have since opened the scoring thanks to a Cathal Magee free

16.15 – With all due respect to Meath hurling, we won’t be prioritising the action in Navan where the Meath SHC final stands at…

HALF TIME: Kiltale 0-08 Killyon 0-06

Our resident Meathman Gav Reilly says: “Kiltale a little wasteful in front of the posts, and Killyon will have the breeze in the second half.”

So a shock on the cards perhaps.

16.19LATEST: Ballintubber 0-04 Ballaghaderreen 0-06

Another goal chance goes begging for Ballintubber, but Alan Dillon is swiftly on the scene, showing all his power to cut right, into space and he fires his shot over the bar.

16.22LATEST: St Judes 0-03 Ballymun Kickhams 0-07

20 minutes gone in the second Dublin SFC semi final and the northsiders are in full control. Kevin Leahy with Kickhams’ latest score.

Conor Tiernan with a late penalty to seal the Kildare SFC crown for Sarsfields.

50 minutes gone in this Kilkenny SHC quarter-final.

17.17LATEST: St Judes 1-05 Ballymun Kickhams 0-15

Nowhere near the drama in this second semi-final. Ballymun cruising towards the Dublin SFC final thanks to Ted Furman’s goal.

17.21FULL TIME: Ballinderry 1-10 Slaughtneil 0-10

With Ballinderry under the cosh and down to 14 men, Conleth Gilligan stepped up to the plate and delivered.

His two late scores eased some massive pressure from Slaughtneil and Ballinderry are the Derry SFC champions.

And so it will be Ballymun Kickhams who face off against Kilmacud Crokes in the Dublin SFC final.

In the home of the champions, Naomh Conaill will play St Eunans in the Donegal SFC final after today’s semi-final win.

18.04 – And here it is. News final result of the day is filtering down from the hills and Glenealy are Wicklow hurling champions for the third year in a row. They marginally edged Carnew who ended the game with 14 men.

FULL TIME Carnew Emmett’s 0-10 Glenealy 1-11

That’s all from me. Hopefully at elast one of the results above brings a smile to your face and some bragging rights to your workplace.
