Lions forced to apologise over another inappropriate tweet

They really are struggling to grasp this whole social media thing.

FOR THE SECOND time in a week, the official Lions Twitter account has had to apologise for a tweet of poor taste.

Having questioned whether players were feeling “suicidal” on the morning of the squad announcement last Tuesday, they posted a disturbing picture of a Springbok (see below) caught on a railing along with the words “Isn’t this what @lionsofficial did to Springboks in the 3rd Test in Johannesburg 2009? @qantaswallabies be warned” earlier today.

Shortly after the tweet, an apology followed. It read: “@lionsofficial would like to apologise for any offence caused by recent and inappropriate tweets.”

Both have since been deleted.
