IT PROMISES TO be the trip of a lifetime for rugby fans in this part of the world, but tickets for this summer’s Lions tour Test matches sold out this morning.

The Australian Rugby Union said that general public ticket allocations for all three games — in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney — were “drained” minutes after going on public sale today.

The Brisbane allocation — which is the first Test — was sold out within five minutes while tickets for the Melbourne and Sydney ties took less than a quarter of an hour to go.

For those of you planning a trip down under however, there are tickets still available for the fixtures against all five Super Rugby teams – Western Force, the Reds, Waratahs, Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels – and a New South Wales-Queensland Country representative side.
