Update: O'Driscoll facing scan after suspected concussion in Pro12 semi-final

The legendary centre was taken off after tackling Iain Henderson, but Matt O’Connor insists he will ‘be fine.’

UPDATED 22.45

BRIAN O’DRISCOLL WAS forced to exit today’s Pro12 semi-final against Ulster early after the world record holder of caps appeared to be knocked out cold after attempting to tackle Iain Henderson.

Post-match, head coach Matt O’Connor initially said that both O’Driscoll and Fergus McFadden (who was also forced off injured) were fine, but when pressed on O’Driscoll, added:

“A bit of a bang on his neck and a bit of a bang on his head, but he’s down there [in the dressing room] and he knows exactly what he’s doing.”

In an attritional game, O’Connor said that Dave Kearney had “tweaked” his knee while Isaac Boss, who was pulled out of the squad before kick-off, suffered a minor aggravation of a calf injury.
