Leinster to take on Ulster in pre-season friendly at Tallaght Stadium

The two provinces will renew their rivalry on the 30th of August.

LEINSTER WILL PLAY Ulster at Tallaght Stadium in August as the second game of their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

The clash between the inter-provincial rivals, who most recently met in May’s Pro12 semi-finals, will take place on the 30th of August in the 6,000-capacity Dublin venue.

Leinster played a pre-season friendly in Tallaght in 2012, when they recorded a 33-22 victory over Gloucester after tries from Ian Madigan, Leo Auva’a, Andrew Boyle, Dominic Ryan and Darren Hudson.

The eastern province faced Ulster during last season’s pre-season window, losing 21-19 in Ravenhill as a late Ian Porter try secured victory for Mark Anscombe’s men.

Leinster begin their pre-season this year with a friendly against Northampton in Franklin’s Gardens on the 23rd of August, while Ulster host the Exeter Chiefs at the renamed Kingspan Stadium in Belfast on the 22nd of August.

Meanwhile, Munster will travel to Gloucester on the 23rd of August, before entertaining London Irish in Waterford on the 29th, while Connacht have yet to confirm their pre-season calendar.
