LEEDS UNITED HAVE announced the sacking of manager Darko Milanic following today’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves.
Milanic is the third Leeds manager to be sacked by owner Massimo Cellino in the last five months and leaves his post after just 32 days in charge.
Today’s defeat leaves Leeds sitting 18th in the league, without a win in their last six league games.
Cellino said this evening, “I want to apologise to the supporters, they deserve better results.”
Neil Redfearn will take charge of training on Monday having done so after the sacking of previous manager David Hockaday.
The news came just an hour after the official Leeds United Twitter account had tweeted quotes from Milanic about how he was confident of turning things around.
What is happening to my beloved club? At this rate the next manager could be sacked before he is appointed!!!!!!
I saw a pic on Facebook that stated “only 60 days or 2 leeds manager till xmas” feel sorry for your boys. The chairman is some lad
If only that headcase of an owner could be sacked…
Sad thing is without him we’re even more screwed. He’s genuinely passionate, problem is hes nuts.
If hes gotten rid of we’re going straight down to league 1
On the bright side supporting this club has made me immune to pain and loss, traits that will benefit me in future no doubt.
That statement Donal,no doubt symbolises every Leeds fan outlook on life.
Joke of a club
It’s not a joke of a club, they have a joke of an owner
They were a joke before this owner.
Unless every owner of Leeds has been a joke for the last 2 decades.
Your second statement is pretty close to the truth actually haha
The Damned United.
Cellino should go for the Italian Apprentice – He would get to sack someone every week!!
The owner isn’t a joke as far as I’m concerned ,without him there would be no Leeds Utd today ,he hired yes another manager who came in with really good references but who can’t speak English and it’s obviously causing a problem with communications ,we have a really good set of players at Elland Road now , the pressure was he had an acting manager before him that was getting results ,I think he has given Redfearn the job now ,so we will see , like my fellow LUFC supporter said above we get used to this now but it can only get better ,and I think it will with Neil Redfearn , he knows most of these guys inside out …we live in Hope , but as I said ,our chairman is a fan who only wants success for the club .
How many people in suits gets sacked at clubs, the answer none because they’re all yes men
