LeBron wore the 'I Can't Breathe' protest t-shirt before the Cavs' 7th straight win last night

But LBJ wasn’t the biggest star on show in Brooklyn last night.

THE BIGGEST STAR in the NBA, LeBron James, last night lent his high profile face to the ‘I Can’t Breathe’ slogan that protests the non-indictment of any New York police after the death of the unarmed Eric Garner.

James could hardly have hand-picked a night with more attention focused on the Barclays Centre – home of the Brooklyn Nets and their former part-owner Jay-Z.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 110 – 88 win – their seventh in succession – was played in front of not only Jay Z and Beyoncé, but also the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

But it was his pre-game attire than bore the most important message

“I can’t breathe” were the final words of Eric Garner as he was being arrested in New York.
