Lar Corbett back as Tipp make 3 changes for Galway game

The 33-year-old forward replaces Niall O’Meara in attack ahead of the clash in Thurles.

LAR CORBETT MAKES his return for Tipperary as one of three changes ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Round 1 clash with Galway.

The 33-year-old has struggled with a knee injury this season, but Eamon O’Shea can call on the experienced forward for the encounter at Semple Stadium.

Elsewhere, there’s a new midfield pairing for Tipp as Ronan Maher of Thurles Sarsfields and Drom-Inch’s James Woodlock replace Kieran Bergin and Shane McGrath.

Maher is set for his championship debut in Thurles. The midfielder won an All-Ireland Minor title with Tipp in 2012.
