LA Galaxy pencil in November return date for Robbie

Robbie Keane will be fit for Ireland’s play-off game against Estonia if his club’s latest predictions are correct…

LIKE HIM OR loathe him you cannot argue with Robbie Keane’s international record, so Ireland fans can rest easier now that LA Galaxy have said they expect their star man back by November.

The striker aggravated an adductor muscle injury during the qualifier against Andorra and missed Ireland’s last qualifier against Armenia as a result, casting doubt over his availability for the play-off fixtures against Estonia.

However, his US club has now confirmed that they hope to have Keane fit for their second MLS play-off game, which is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd of November. Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl tweeting:

Giovanni Trappatoni and his squad travel to Tallinn to take on Estonia on November 11th before returning for the second leg in Dublin four days later.
