After watching the entire match again…….as a neutral from Kildare that was a savage match but to say that Limerick should have won is a bit unfair on Kilkenny

Goals win matches Kilkenny scored two was it not for a blatant trip on Power it would have been three

JJ Delaney did pull on the helmet but only cancelled out a previous one from Limerick

A lot of late challenges but to be fair I thought Limerick did a lot more than Kilkenny

Both teams played fantastic in that storm

Kilkenny got a great test but great teams survive

The team spirit shone through and the hooking and blocking was amazing by both teams

This game is why hurling is simply The Greatest Game ever

Limerick were outstanding but in all fairness the best team won simply Savage

Emma, in years to come people are going to realise what a team this was people hated Man U when the won everything, the Kerry 4 in a row team, the current Dublin team (much as that hurts to say) ….. I think Limerick gave them a hell of match but the standard of hurling this year is like wow and as a neutral (I’m a Lilly White through and through) I was always brought up with a proud Kilkenny Dad so I have seen some good teams but this bunch are jaw dropping good they work for each other and even with marquee players not at their best the backing up and never say die attitude is a lesson to all teams together they are stronger

Limerick left it behind them. I don’t think Cork or Tipp will be overawed in the final.

Kilkenny are always a top team but they’re not Cody’s strongest that’s for sure.

Unfortunately a high ball into a square has secured Kilkenny a deserved victory by the shear fact they withstood a bar age of an assault but Limerick were by far the better team. Just lacking consistency in 2 forwards and 1 back. Players there to go forward. Well done to both teams. Pity some apes highlight incidents that would have ruined a great ad for gaelic games if they were “correctly” enforced. Players love playing in those type of games which unfortunately are like hens teeth these days unless you prefer recent successes where man for man is archaic and fashionably unshopicated. Just a thought.
