MAYO WOMAN AUDREY Adamson tried her best to turn legendary dub (‘uncle’) Kevin Moran and (‘me boss’) Eddie Jordan to the westside, but they sat stall and stood firm to their long held beliefs that Jim Gavin’s boys will be victorious at Croke Park this Sunday.

Adamson, a native of Newport, is sailing around the world as crew on Jordan’s yacht. But when she’s not swabbing the decks or plotting a course through unforgiving seas, she can be found berating her boss for not backing the green and red.

Come 15.30 Irish time on Sunday, they just might need a bigger boat.
