A BRILLIANT LATE surge by Kevin Durant has powered the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 97-91 win on the road over the Chicago Bulls.
Trailing by six points heading into the final term at the United Center on Thursday, the Thunder were sparked by Durant, who fired eight of his 24 points in the final stanza.
Oklahoma outscored the Bulls 31-19 in the fourth quarter as they moved their win-loss ledger into positive territory at 3-2.
Serge Ibaka was also good for the Thunder with 21 points and Russell Westbrook added 16. The Bulls were well served by Briton Luol Deng, who scored a game-high 27 points, while Richard Hamilton scored 20.
In Thursday’s other match, the Los Angeles Clippers moved to 4-2 for the season with a 103-90 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden in Portland. Jamal Crawford came off the bench to score 25-points for the visitors, while superstar Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan each scored 21.
Nicolas Batum led the way for the Trail Blazers, scoring 23 points and dragging down nine rebounds.
