(After extra-time – Kerry 3-11 Mayo 3-11 after 70 minutes)
IN ONE OF THE most incredible games of the decade, Kerry sealed their place in the All-Ireland final with a heroic 3-16 to 3-13 extra-time victory over Mayo in the Gaelic Grounds.
Mayo ran out of road and players as a fresher looking Kerry team lasted the distance in a titanic clash.
In a dramatic extra-time period, Mayo went two points in front but lacked a ruthlessness to really push on and seal the victory. Barry John Keane levelled the game with a couple of frees and sub Jonathan Lyne kicked two huge scores either side of one from Paul Geaney to ensure another day out in Croke Park.
Kerry started the game at a breakneck speed but couldn’t turn their advantage into scores. Against the run of play Cillian O’Connor dispatched two goals in the space of six minutes, one of them a penalty, to hand Mayo the initiative after 21 minutes.
Trailing by 2-3 to 0-2 with ten minutes left in the opening half, Kerry fought their way back into the game. O’Donoghue’s strike on goal was blocked by Kevin Higgins but the ball bounced perfectly into the path of Kieran Donaghy who volleyed it into the net.
O’Donoghue finished his second penalty with style in the 42nd minute after Donaghy was brought down. O’Donoghue brought his personal tally to 2-6 soon after with a couple of frees and a Marc Ó Sé point sent Kerry 2-8 to 2-6 in front after 50 minutes.
But Mayo responded with a goal of their own moments later to take the lead once again, when Kerry goalkeeper Brian Kelly dropped a long ball into the square and O’Connor made no mistake from close range.

The lead changed hands a couple of times before O’Donoghue was adjudged to have been tripped by Ger Cafferkey in the square and he slotted home his second penalty on 62 minutes.

The Kingdom led by two in the closing stages of normal-time but a score each from sub Michael Conroy and Donal Vaughan brought the game to extra-time.
Mayo led early on in extra-time but couldn’t sustain their momentum and Lyne announced himself on the scene with two fine scores to win the game.
Scorers for Kerry: J O’Donoghue 2-6 (2-0 pen, 0-2f), P Geaney 0-4 (0-3f), K Donaghy 1-0, BJ Keane 0-2 (0-2f), Jonathan Lyne 0-2, Killian Young 0-1, M Ó Sé 0-1.Scorers for Mayo: Cillian O’Connor 2-5 (1-0 pen, 0-3f), A Moran 1-1, Jason Doherty 0-3, A Freeman 0-1 (0-1f), K McLoughlin 0-1, M Conroy 0-1.

Dear Mayo supporters . You were 4 points up near the end of the first game and you let it slip . 7 points up during this match and still let it slip! Stop blaming the ref you choked!
True Emmett. Choked again as usual. They used to be a joke, now they’re not even that. Lose important games and then start a fight. That’s all they know. Fans coming on during the game just topped it. A disgrace.
Getting that far is no good if ye can never finish the job. Also your record of starting rows in the big games is second to none. I don’t usually make a habit of ‘trolling’ but they’re the team that just keeps on giving.
I wouldn’t bother replying to him, he’s a pretty sad individual who’s obsessed with Mayo, and has made a habit of talking to himself on these threads.
Congrats to Kerry, they showed huge heart over the two games. The ref didn’t have his finest hour, to put it mildly, but Kerry dominated around the middle of the field for the most part. David Moran in particular had a stormer of a game.
Mayo just ran out of steam unfortunately, they have looked a bit leg-weary the entire year, and have never really put a 70 minute performance together. Horan has brought them on a huge amount in the past four years, but has maybe been tactically caught-out too often in the bigger games. Perhaps it’s a good time for a new voice.
Nice piece of trolling there Conor. Your kind of statement probably means you’ve never played a competitive team sport in your life. Somebody who has would appreciate what Mayo have brought to the championship for the last 4 years. They would also celebrate the victorious team rather than put the boot into the losers. Well done Kerry (and Donegal). Better teams won.
O’Donoghue got man of the match but was only maybe the 4th or 5th best player today. Moran, Donaghy and Higgins were all fantastic. Thrilling game a pity it got ugly at the end.
He came up with the scores I suppose and it’s and easy choice, that said, Higgins is the best defender in the country by a mile and he scored 2-6 off him. Moran was immense and probably my man of the match.
Cynicism from both teams throughout ref was consistently bad for both teams and gave mayo chance to win at end of normal time, when Kerry should of had free first. Savage match regardless of ref
It was a truly shocking refereeing display. Maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. The 2nd Kerry penalty was a joke and 2 subsequent close in frees also. These are just some of many examples. The scenes at the end were primarily down to referee’s incompetence. Deeply suspicious to be honest and if I was from Mayo I would be seething.
Oh calm down and don’t be so dramatic. Referee had a good game overall. Two soft frees alright but other than that. He made a few mistakes like everyone else in the pitch.
Can you slide tackle in football? Penalty in my opinion.
Not sure what the ref could do about the brawls, kerry were determined to keep them going to slow the whole thing down. He booked a couple of players, no red card offences so don’t know what wise he could have done.
Mayo only themselves to blame for throwing away a 7 point lead
Robert I tend to agree. He gave a few soft ones. But he got most things right. He is human and the players made huge mistakes but don’t get hammered here, do they? However he didn’t decide the match. More clinical side one. Mayo wasted possession especially in second half. Regarding the stupid carry on both teams must accept blame. Kerry were cuter in those incidents. Feel sorry for Mayo but they will be back. Awesome entertainment. As Marty says ‘ Holy Moses’.
Of course he decided the match, he’s the referee! Can anyone explain how Enright wasn’t sent off? As clear-cut a black card as you will see. He was already on a yellow so that equals red.
Game was spoilt by ridiculously bad referring. Three tap in frees for Kerry that were just not frees especially when the general level of tackling was so heavy and tolerated by ref. Last penalty for Kerry was very dubious too. Why was Kerry number 8 not sent off at the end. It spoilt a great contest and someone had to lose but the ref turned the game.
As a Dub, there’s no better feeling than beating Kerry in a final. Added incentive to beat Donegal tomorrow. It won’t be a repeat of 2011 though Gravytrain, it’ll be much, much easier ;)
Roland you’re such a sad case, the feeling in Kerry is mutual re: beating the Dubs but we don’t brag about it when we have handed yere asses on a plate so many times, enjoy yere period of dominance, we are not as petty minded as you obviously are but remember that wheel keeps on turning.
Doc why are you calling Roland a sad case for stating that Kerry are the team to beat? There is massive respect be between Kerry and Dublin GAA, as with all counties.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha “It won’t be a repeat of 2011 though Gravytrain, it’ll be much, much easier ;)” and it was much much easier…………. for Donegal hahahahaha
I can’t be the only one who is in disbelief that referees award Donaghy frees, he obstructs players from getting near the ball. He won two free kicks today when he had a closed fist against the full backs face.
I m struggling to see how everyone from Mayo is blaming the ref , Kerry , Donaghy today while last week it was the sending off & straight after the game giving out about the game being in Limerick… From my view point it came down to Kerry finishing stronger in both games no more no less. Enough of the excuses if you looking for something to harp on about the two Mayo supporters & the mayo physio should be banned for life from the GAA for there behaviour
Well said sir. It’s amazing how a neutral, objective analysis of a match simply does not fit within the Mayo persecution complex. The fact remains that Kerry are simply better than Mayo…..two semi final defeats in four years are simple indications of same.
There’s always an excuse. Mayo, why don’t ye just go out and play like ye want it, not like ye think ye deserve it.
It was a brilliant game for a neutral and well done to both teams. I think the ref let kerry away with too much fouling and he gifted them two points from dubious frees in extra time .Kerry brought on fresh legs in extra time and this was the difference in the way the teams finished. Well done to Limerick Gaa who appear to have hosted the fixture very well.As for the row at the end I don’t know who started it but the mayo fan should get a lengthy ban although I imagine his family probably will lock him up the next time there is a football match!
Any supporter that tryed to get at the referee during or at the end of the game should get penalised in some way, the man has a family who were more than likely watching the game, I dont think you’s would like to see someone from your family get a garda escort off the pitch while people attempt to get to him, yes he made a few bad decisions but its a sport at the end of the day and he’s not going to get every decision correct, write a letter and try and encourage the GAA to get a TMO or something different as opposed to going for the referee.
Well said Dan, your more then likely off chasing sheep for the rest of the year. Always blame the Ref. Your such a wonderful sportsman . Cheers and keep trying.
Great game but disappointed by the ref. Kerry got 3 or 4 points off bad decision making by the ref and the last penalty was no penalty. Think Kerry won the game in extra time by using their bench better than Mayo. Fresh legs and fresh minds won out in the end. Good to see real football back in the All Ireland. Hope Kerry go all the way now.
Lost a bit of respect for Kieran Donaghy today after seeing his unsporting behaviour. Was hoping to see mayo win, even though I had money on Kerry.
Mayo just hadn’t the legs for Kerry on the last 10 mins.
I remember everyone calling for Armagh to be thrown out of championship . Where are these mouths today . That was scandalous today from players , mentors and might I add supporters.
He was poor it shouldn’t be glossed over but Kerry were still deserved winners. On balance the better side on the day. If I was a Mayo fan I’d be most put out by the O’Shea O’Connor collision. Neither seemed like they were near 100% when they came back on
I saw the ref down in Kerry lads week swimming with Fungi.2 of them splashing around having a right ould laugh. The good time he had maybe swayed his decisions a bit
Absolute nonsense, I was at the Dublin vs Kerry match last year in the semi final, greatest game I’ve ever seen. As a Dub I think it would be brilliant to beat someone different in the final
Over all it was a great game of football but there was a lot of incidents where the referee took no action left a lot of unpunished fouls go and this had a massive outlook on the game ,not a great game for cormac .
Declan Brown is the best player in recent times not to win the big one. Never had the pleasure of seeing Mickey Kerins in action, though I have heard that he was an excellent talent.
Not flash, but servants like big John Galvin in Limerick, Mattie Forde in Wexford were excellent players in recent years, as was Dessie Dolan.
Many people give out about the qualifiers, but it can’t be denied that they gave many players a chance to show what they can do.
It was LIMERICK! It was a conspiracy by the bigwigs in GAA HQ that saw Mayo’s demise or maybe it was the Americans! No doubt the Mayo persecution complex will grow and grow after this defeat. Should have gone to the match to win instead of spending the week bitching about the venue.
Attendance was very average, 36,000 for an All Ire Semi! More usually at a provincial final. There was 20,000 more at the American football in Croker today….
A great contest no doubt but the level of football was nowhere near Dublin – Kerry last year. Extremely exciting though and so much better than the dross we sometimes get from football but there was too much poor football to call it a classic
82,300 in Croker tomorrow, and thankfully I’ll be one of them, on the Hill with my mates. I hope we win of course, but from a neutrals view we have a decent game. That game today would qualify as epic. This is a hard-fought title.
I hope Donegal play football tomorrow and don’t try to smother the thing… I have a funny feeling they may have a surprise up their sleeves.. little bit of nerves kicking now, Kerry waiting in the final…
Yes, the football game was on in Limerick…the American Football game was on in Croker….and there was 55,000 people in attendance at the game in Croker, 20,000 more than in Limerick. So much for all the panic that Limerick wouldn’t hold the croud!!
Are you I plying a Mayo team who contested the last two finals are a soft option, far from it! No easy game would be decided by a replay and extra time.
Quote: “Mayo went two points in front but lacked a ruthlessness to really push on and seal the victory.” (this sounds robbed from a TV pundit?) – Disagree – Mayo were on fire at the start of the extra time! 2 soft frees in succession didn’t help things!
Mayo hadnt the legs . Horans running game backfired near the end and when youre comparing declan o sullivan to michael conroy and marc o se to harrison only 1 team could see the game out
Thought it was a shambolic game with some disgraceful refereeing decisions, bouts of fisticuffs, dragging of players by many of the participants, players kicking the ball away after frees awarded, a player throwing an opponent over a fence and out of the playing arena, occasionally interspersed with some good passages of play. RTE pundits managed to not even mention, never mind condemn, the utterly disgraceful scenes near the end.
The referee made several inexplicable and crucial decisions in favour of one team, assuring them of victory. Key decisions at game-changing moments favoured one team throughout. The GAA needs to address all these issues but will probably bury its head in the sand and pretend everything is rosy. The paying public and most of all the players deserve better.
Message to the GAA : get your house in order. A farce and a disgraceful shambles overall.
Mayos two goals were against the run off play and Kerry should have being ahead but were shooting wide
Unreal to see the last kick of normal play to drop short just like what Kerry did the last day
O Shea should not have being bought back on
Poor ref.. 2 matchs in a row. What is it about meath refs. Kerry got easy breaks when it mattered. That plus ref on your side = win. Let’s see how the all ireland pans out.
Great to see rugby back in Limerick tonight. As soon anyone got past their marker they were taken out of it. Tight pitch a big issue but Mayo have such a good minor set up am looking forward to seeing some new faces coming through.
Mayo werent good enough, that sums it up really. 7 points up at one stage and couldn’t hold it.Ref was shit for both sides. The only trouble Donaghy caused was to the full back. Ciarraí abú
I’m a mayo supporter. I think some of the decisions that the ref made today were so bad especially in extra time ..shocking. I know that the dubs out there will say to me stop your bleeding moaning but if it happened to ye, we would never hear the end of it . It was mayos game today! They deserved it and fought for everything they got. It’s a shame there not in the final to kick Dublins hole!
Like the Mayo penalty in the first half where O Conner had his fist in Enrights face as the ball was dropping in?!
Seriously, if Mayo are hiding in denial behind the usual persecution complex they should at least try to be balanced.
I have been going to football and hurling matches for over 20 years and I’ve never heard a crowd moan as much as the Mayo supporters. It’s not rocket science lads, Mayo are not good enough.
Well done to both teams on a great game! Both matches should be put on a DVD for the Christmas market.
A lot of talk here about the referee and I don’t want to go over old ground but just want to make a comment I’m surprised hasn’t been made.
Shane Enright and Cillian O’Connor were yellow carded together early in the game for some type of an off the ball incident. Afterwards, in two consecutive plays Enright conceded the penalty dragging O’Connor to the ground 2 handed which is a black card offence and cynically fouled Dillon for the next pointed free, a yellow card offence. That Reilly afforded Kerry the opportunity to replace the most roasted corner back in Ireland with the best cornerback in Ireland after 21 minutes to me was as decisive as anything else in the deciding of this game.
Moan?
I’m just an armchair pundit giving a personal opinion on what I read from a televised game. As a neutral I would have liked Mayo to win but not overly pushed either way. I’m not the deep and meaningful type either so whatever issues you have arising from your debs you better talk to someone else.
As a neutral I hope Mayo don’t win Sam until they can take responsibility for their own shortcomings and their supporters a small bit of class and dignity.
All week leading up to the match and indeed after was whinging, whining, appealing the venue, the red card……football was the real winner at the end.
Nice comeback with the debs comment! You showed me.
Disgraceful fix, a penalty and 3 ridiculous scoring frees for absolutely nothing in the last quarter and first half of extra time to keep Kerry in the game.
Looking at the positives at least I don’t have to watch any more offerings orchestrated by this abhorrent and corrupt organisation. I hope the home team win the neutral venue final, maybe they can play Penn State next year and kick out Leitrim.

I feel for the Girl at the end trying to drag her dad off the pitch when he was trying to get the ref. I’m sure she was mortified…
i was mortified for her too, she looked so embarrassed
How did the ref do ???
Dear Mayo supporters . You were 4 points up near the end of the first game and you let it slip . 7 points up during this match and still let it slip! Stop blaming the ref you choked!

Don’t heed them james. Their own counties got knocked out much earlier than us. They’ve nothing to talk about so they slag mayo. Trolls
Getting that far is no good if ye can never finish the job. Also your record of starting rows in the big games is second to none. I don’t usually make a habit of ‘trolling’ but they’re the team that just keeps on giving.
Perennial chokers.
It’ll be someone else’s fault no doubt. Can’t beat a sad, pathetic persecution complex.
The Chokers showed their true colours this week. Appealing the blatant kick, the venue…..sad sad and more sad.
Not everyone is out to get you Mayo. Ye take care of that yourselves.
I wouldn’t bother replying to him, he’s a pretty sad individual who’s obsessed with Mayo, and has made a habit of talking to himself on these threads.

Moran was unreal!!!!!!!
Sad day for the GAA to see thuggery, gamesmanship, cynical fouling and an
Incompetent referee winning through.
Cormac Reilly was terrible, with another referee today Mayo could won by 6 or 7 points. Sad day for GAA when a ref decides who wins
kerry got two frees for nothing in extra time and surely there should have been at least two minutes more played in the 2nd half of extra time.
No biting though!
Cynicism from both teams throughout ref was consistently bad for both teams and gave mayo chance to win at end of normal time, when Kerry should of had free first. Savage match regardless of ref
Lads, Mayo lost this game all on their own. Can you come up with an explanation on how the referee made them lose a 7 point lead?
Ref made a couple of mistakes, two soft frees come to mind, over the course of a game like that he wouldn’t be human if he didn’t.
Any opinion on the tough calls he got spot on?
Orla? Lols!
Lashes a lot less wides and they would have won by 15!
@Robert “referee had a good game overall” – priceless comment !! Haven’t heard anything as ludicrous in ages
Rubbish talk if he was bad he was bad for both …. Great game better team won move on !!!!
Spot on robert. The 3 pens were pens. Tough calls and ref got them right
Lashes, are you for real?!
LOL
Yawn
The ref decided this match, should never happen. Must have been offered a holiday in Dingle.
Mayo were well ahead in the first half at one stage, choked again, look for excuses closer to home before appointing blame elsewhere.
Spot on. They can only blame themselves. They just can’t close games out
Nothing to do with the ref kerry had the stamina left mayo have played a lot of football for the last three year a farce in the end. Hon mayo!
Niall, Keith, agree with your comments, Mayo can’t close out big games. They should have won the last day.
Spoddgy that’s no excuse, remember Kerry played in 6 all-irelands in a row In the last decade.
Felt it was pretty poor sportmanship by mayo to boo the free kick takers…hard to feel sorry for em after it. Sad to see it creeping into the gaa..
I agree with what you’re saying but in today’s case I think they were booing some of the refs decisions more so than than the player taking the free
They are used to booing at sheep in mayo but at least the sheep will be safe in mayo tonigh
They were booing the kicker. Class behaviour on display from Mayo fans.
They seem to be following James Horan’s mantra of moaning and groaning if decisions don’t suit them. Infants.
As a Kerryman I want Dublin in the Final. Sorry Donegal but Kerry v Dublin is personal.
Ha, 2011 still in the memory??
Game was spoilt by ridiculously bad referring. Three tap in frees for Kerry that were just not frees especially when the general level of tackling was so heavy and tolerated by ref. Last penalty for Kerry was very dubious too. Why was Kerry number 8 not sent off at the end. It spoilt a great contest and someone had to lose but the ref turned the game.
Up Dublin! They have the team I haven’t written them off all year now I’ll be supporting them for their tilt at a repeat!
As a Dub, there’s no better feeling than beating Kerry in a final. Added incentive to beat Donegal tomorrow. It won’t be a repeat of 2011 though Gravytrain, it’ll be much, much easier ;)
I agree. Ref must be blind. And then cramped. Lol.
Mayo robbed. Grab all association some load of C::::.
Kerrys no. 8 what about the mayo trainer, such class, but don’t let reality get in the way.
And Tomas O’Se handed Stephen Cluxton the ball after the 2011 final… That’s respect.
and 2013 no doubt
Waa waa Mayo should have won waa waa bad referee waa stadium closer to Kerry……….
Waa bloody waa
Hill 16 will be green and gold only…………
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha “It won’t be a repeat of 2011 though Gravytrain, it’ll be much, much easier ;)” and it was much much easier…………. for Donegal hahahahaha
I can’t be the only one who is in disbelief that referees award Donaghy frees, he obstructs players from getting near the ball. He won two free kicks today when he had a closed fist against the full backs face.
Didn’t see game but heard from a couple of neutrals that the ref was leaning very south west!
Must have heard that from the whingers……I mean Mayo followers.
For long periods Kerry were the better team, took a while but they got there
They were but a kick from losing it I’d be nervous if I was from kerry!
For long periods Mayo were on top too, it was a case of both teams wasting chances which kept them so close when they were on top.
Mayo should’ve brought on the fat lad earlier and stuck him in full forward
How can a match official be dragged around the park and not even a card for the kerry players?
Why was he there? Had a big smile on his face during and after the scuffle, he seemed to enjoy himself
Was disgraceful
Pity they didn’t get a few daycent digs in at him and the fat lad coming on for mayo, some Craic !
What a game…lovely weather….big spectators! Mayo, try again next year & u will never know….
A September rest might get the hunger for it back hopefully horan stays on!
McCStay taking over next year
Sorry Mayo heads. Done deal.
Kerry and the ref against Mayo. Not to worry Donegal or Dublin will slaughter Kerry end of story
No one else to blame only themselves. You should be used to seeing them bottle games at this stage
The same way Mayo were supposed to?
You had respect for Donaghy?
Donaghy is a class player in fairness… they have him, we have O’Gara.
I remember everyone calling for Armagh to be thrown out of championship . Where are these mouths today . That was scandalous today from players , mentors and might I add supporters.
Why is everyone ranting about the ref.. it wouldn’t have the classic it was only for the ref… …
He was poor it shouldn’t be glossed over but Kerry were still deserved winners. On balance the better side on the day. If I was a Mayo fan I’d be most put out by the O’Shea O’Connor collision. Neither seemed like they were near 100% when they came back on
Last week the ref keep mayo in the game I did not see them giving out then
Can ppl allow for the fact that the ref was probably wrecked. He covers as much ground as any player.
I saw the ref down in Kerry lads week swimming with Fungi.2 of them splashing around having a right ould laugh. The good time he had maybe swayed his decisions a bit
So did I!! Mayo should lodge an appeal forthwith. As is their want.
Whingers.
Dublin v Mayo would be a better game, it should’ve been Mayo, Dublin v Kerry will be an easy victory for Dublin.
ha ha i oved the way you slippped in the troller at the end
Or Donegal….. Kerry to be thrashed I hope!!
Absolute nonsense, I was at the Dublin vs Kerry match last year in the semi final, greatest game I’ve ever seen. As a Dub I think it would be brilliant to beat someone different in the final
Good man Trevor you must be sickened this morning, Clown!!!!!
Kerry 3-16
Mayo 3-13.
Bitch all ye want. That’s what will be written in history. Mayo threw it away again. Simple as that. Should blame no one but themselves.
They should have a throwing away event mayo would win that
They’d probably appeal it even if they won.
Over all it was a great game of football but there was a lot of incidents where the referee took no action left a lot of unpunished fouls go and this had a massive outlook on the game ,not a great game for cormac .
Will cillian O’connor be the best player never to win the all ireland
Mickey Kerins has that honour
Simple answer there would be no
No – Declan Browne.
Sorry Dermot Early wins that one.
Ciaran Whelan wins that hands down. #God.
Agreed – the most naturally talented attacking Gaelic footballer I have ever seen.
*Declan Browne that is
Declan browne hands down.
NO Dermot Earley Senior RIP best never to win an ALL Ireland Senior medal
won’t even be the best Mayo man to never get one if it doesn’t happen for him, lot of football in him yet.
Johnny Doyle?
Will Mayo appeal the result? Will the red card be appealed considering they established its ok to kick a player?
Stay classy Mayo.
With that referee Kerry could beat any team in Ireland.
Even the whinging chokers. I mean Mayo.
LOL @ Mayo blaming everyone but themselves for losing.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH
They have blamed everyone since 2004
Sure it’s twice in 4 years a weakening/transitional Kerry team beat them in semi finals.
It can’t always be someone’s fault. Chokers of undeniable quality.
WHINEY CHOKERS.
Build a bridge lads. Not good enough.
As I said all week mayo are only bottlers and I was proven right. Delighted they lost back to the bog they go.
Very mature…… Writing such nonsense on a public site makes you appear to have the maturity of a 12 year old
There’s an all Ireland in that Mayo team alright, I’d imagine ig they get one they’ll kick on to a couple, too much football in them to be ignored.
Agree with you…but its a bit unfair on a 12 year old to be compared with that embassil.
Take ur beating the truth hurts little boy.
Aboy Tobi. The Chokers can’t handle it. It’s all a conspiracy. Man up Mayo…..it’s not always someone else’s fault.
Best game of football I’ve seen in years.
Attendance was very average, 36,000 for an All Ire Semi! More usually at a provincial final. There was 20,000 more at the American football in Croker today….
Hello it wasn’t in Croke Park
A great contest no doubt but the level of football was nowhere near Dublin – Kerry last year. Extremely exciting though and so much better than the dross we sometimes get from football but there was too much poor football to call it a classic
The American Football was in Croke Park.
Were the Gaelic Grounds not packed, wasn’t it 47,000?
36,256 is the official attendance.
Lousy bush… there were 20,000 total in Croke Park according to rte website
82,300 in Croker tomorrow, and thankfully I’ll be one of them, on the Hill with my mates. I hope we win of course, but from a neutrals view we have a decent game. That game today would qualify as epic. This is a hard-fought title.
Ciaran the attendance in Croker today was just under 54k.
Nothing heroic about them! Deserved the win had more in the tank o be fair to them but I wouldn’t call them heroic!
Pity the supporters could not behave like suppoters and stay off the pitch it is only a game hard luck for mayo
Mayo hadnt the legs . Horans running game backfired near the end and when youre comparing declan o sullivan to michael conroy and marc o se to harrison only 1 team could see the game out
The ref was a disgrace from a Louth man
I hate Kerry. May dublin slaughter them.
Sore loser are we suppose ur blaming the ref.
Take it handy Susan. We have to beat Donegal first.
I’m sure all of Kerry will be gutted, what are you 5yrs of age, stay classy, our education system has a lot to answer for.
Well now Susan when do we get to meet Dublin if you cannot make the FINAL
But Dublin aren’t in the final?? What are you on about? :P
Hard luck Mayo
I’d safely say that ref will not be reffing the AI Final..although Kerry wouldn’t mind to have him on the park again. Jez he was terrible alright.
Exactly. He’s the reason Mayo lost.
Cry me a river. Always someone else’s fault with Mayo.
Great to see rugby back in Limerick tonight. As soon anyone got past their marker they were taken out of it. Tight pitch a big issue but Mayo have such a good minor set up am looking forward to seeing some new faces coming through.
Would that be the same team that Kerry beat a few weeks ago.
Sorry mate, did you spend all winter training to get this far? Go buy another bag of Kleenex.
Dry your eyes Mayo. Build a bridge.
Yawn Yawn. Moan moan.
Not good enough lads. Been to the debs enough times without getting the ride.
Andy Moran scored the second goal. Not O’Connor
No he didn’t -
He should not have started he is a guy to bring in for the last 20 min
How many subs can you make these days…I thought it was restricted to 6? Kerry had 9 listed above.
They’d a few blood subs.
Oops.. sorry that was Mayo with the blood subs!
Shame on the reff.
Sub count resets at start of ET.
Sore loser rochelle build a bridge
Will she get her petrol and parking money back Tobi? Has all use makings of an appeal.
