Some awful shite being spouted here about Donnchadh. Does an incredible job for the team, his primary job isn’t to get scores, its to set up Donoghue, Gooch, Declan etc. Could be better in front of goals at times no doubt but not his primary role. Does Mark Mchugh score much for Donegal for example? He’s been an outstanding player for a number of years and does a job that not many are capable of. #easytotalk #hurlersonditches

Donnchadh Walsh is an outstanding athlete. His fitness and work rate is top class. That being said the man simply is not a footballer. His kick passing is poor and his scoring ability is worse. He rarely even scores points as he always looks to play the ball off to others when he’s in scoring distance himself.

And he loses the ball too easy in the tackle… Just not confident enough to be a Kerry great… He’d probably be a hero in my beloved Clare as he can run all day without being a particularly good footballer #runforfuninclare

The only reason he got nominated for an all star was his performance against Dublin which I admit was excellent. However watching him in league and earlier championship matches was a different story. The amount of easy points he missed against Cavan was beyond belief. I’ve been attending kerry matches for years and that’s what I’m basing this on not highlights on Sunday game which shows the good but not the bad.
